Fingers crossed for an Indian Summer for us all!  It’s not been the best of months this August so lets hope we get some more warm sunshine before the autumn arrives.  A perfect excuse to come along to The Ship Hotel and try some of our carefully selected Wines or our pride Cask Ales.  Just ask the bar staff for some advice if you’re not sure what to go for!

At The Ship Hotel we are introducing our new “Wine of the month” offer. It does exactly what it says, each month we intend to recommend and put on offer a wine for you to try.

This month is ‘Cullinan View’ Chenin Blanc, Robertson, South Africa.  The Chenin Blanc is South Africa’s most popular grape variety. Youthful, fruity character and a fresh, zesty acidity.Light and fresh, creamy and round, with a peachy fruit flavour.
