It’s Christmas week, how exciting!  And at the Ship we are all in full festive spirit… with our newly refurbished bar, our burning open fire and our lovely Christmas trees it really does feel cosy and “Christmassy” down in Parkgate.  Why not pop down for a drink this week or a bite to eat from our NEW Winter bar menu.  We are also running our festive 3 course menu all week so why not take a look and treat yourself to a night out!

Fingers crossed that the sunshine will be shining this weekend!  Bank holidays are always better when the sun is shining!  Why not come and join us at The Ship for a bite to eat from our delicious menu of homemade dishes or try a tipple from behind the bar?  We have got some lovely ales on tap at the moment, and we always make sure our Guest Ales is swapped over regularly.

And don’t forget about our famous roast dinners on Sunday…simply delicious!! served from 12pm.

We have now been rewarded another star to our recognition award from the AA.  We now hold an AA 3 Star Hotel award for excellence and service.

Did you know that we have our own private function room that can accommodate up to 100 people?  We specialise in smaller more intimate occasions. 

At The Ship we are able to accommodate up to 50 guests for a formal sit down dinner and up to 100 guests for a buffet-style function.  Our function suite is also available on a room hire only basis.

Thanks to everyone who came down to our Royal Wedding Beer Festival.  It was such a great event and the Sun came out all weekend!  It was so nice to see so many faces both old and new down at The Ship over the weekend.  We hope that everyone who came down had a great time because we did! 

Who knows maybe we will make it a regular occurrence!

We will be holding a Local Beer Festival on the weekend of the Royal Wedding (Friday 29th and Saturday 30th April)  to celebrate the memorable occasion.  We will be showing the wedding LIVE on TV on Friday morning and then will be celebrating the big event all day (and Saturday) with our beer festival offering a selection of local ales and ciders along with LIVE music and a BBQ. So come along and join the celebrations!

If you like your real ales then this will be a weekend for you!  We have sourced the best local ales from various local breweries to bring you a varied collection of cask beers….something for every palate.

Come and join us for our Royal Wedding Beer Festival on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th April.  We will be celebrating the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton with a beer festival which will feature excellent local cask ales and ciders along with the wedding being shown LIVE on the tv on Friday, LIVE music in the evening and BBQ all day.
