VALENTINE'S EVENING AT THE SHIPValentines day at the ship

With the stunning setting overlooking the welsh hills our intimate and relaxing lounge bar is the perfect place to come and enjoy a delicious 3-course Valentine's Dinner on Tuesday 14th February especially created for the occasion by our creative and talented chefs. Show the one you love how much you care by treating them to an evening of fine dining.  Similarly if you embrace the single life then why not get together with a friend or two and just come and enjoy a relaxed evening of delicious homemade food and some good company.

Food at the Ship Hotel WirralIn case you didn't know, we have recently refurbished our bar in order to create a softer, more intimate atmosphere for your dining experience.  Our soft wood and traditional fittings along with our ambient lighting create a homely surrounding.  Our welcoming open fire and large bay windows are the perfect combination for enjoying a delicious meal whilst taking in the stunning views.  So next time you are in Parkgate why not pop in and come and see what all the fuss is about!

Our homemade hearty menu has been carefully created to ensure that there is something for everyone.  Whether you are looking for a lighter option during the day (or evening!) or if you have been hard at work all day and are looking for a filling 3-course meal then we offer something to suit.

Scallops at The Ship HotelOur talented chefs have put together a menu of delicious starters and light bites such as "Pan-fried Scottish scallops served with black pudding set on pea puree with crispy Parma ham" along with some delicious main meals for example "Creamy risotto with smoked mackerel and brown shrimp topped with a soft free-range poached egg and parmesan shavings served with house dipping bread".

Our starters and light bites are perfect for lunchtimes on their own although if you are looking for more of a traditional option then we also offer a selection of ciabattas and sandwiches.

well there will be once you see our selection of mouth-watering desserts such as "Milk chocolate sweet shop terrine with vanilla pod ice cream".

SUNDAY LUNCH

Served 12.00pm to 8.00pm as part of our Sunday menu.  Our Sunday menu differs slightly as our Sunday roasts are introduced.  Over the past 12 months we have built quite a reputation within the local area for our roast dinners...with a choice of 3 meats (or all 3 if you fancy), our homemade fluffy roast potatoes, fresh new potatoes and a choice of seasonal vegetables all smothered in delicious homemade gravy, it really is the perfect roast for any Sunday afternoon.

CHILDREN'S MENU

We offer most of our main dishes in a smaller portion for little ones.


FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST £7.50 - Open to non-residents served Monday to Friday 7.30am - 9.00am and Saturdays & Sundays 8.30am - 10.00am

A glass of orange juice, cereal, bacon, sausage, hash brown, black pudding, choice of egg (scrambled, poached or fried), mushrooms, grilled tomato and beans, toast with butter and jam, and a choice of tea or coffee. 


AFTERNOON TEA & CAKES
